At Chromalox, we're looking for an experienced Machinist II who takes pride in producing high-quality components and solving manufacturing challenges. If you enjoy machine setup, blueprint interpretation, and working with a team that values quality workmanship, we'd like to talk with you.You'll work with equipment including Haas, Okuma, and Cincinnati machines in a manufacturing environment where your skills directly impact product quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The Role:

As a Machinist II, you'll be trusted to set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of machining equipment while producing quality components to meet specifications.

Responsibilities:Setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and related equipment.Reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.Selecting tooling, fixtures, and work-holding solutions for efficient and accurate machining.Performing machine adjustments and making process corrections to maintain tolerances.Inspecting finished parts using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.Assisting with troubleshooting machining and production issues.Performing routine preventative maintenance and supporting TPM initiatives.Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Supporting continuous improvement efforts and helping train less experienced team members.Collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes and product performance.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a machinist who enjoys technical work, takes ownership of quality, and has a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong blueprint-reading and dimensional inspection skills.Experience using precision measuring instruments.Ability to perform machine setups and make machining adjustments as needed.Understanding of shop mathematics, tolerances, and machining principles.Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to producing quality work.Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.Effective verbal and written communication skills.
