Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)

1st Shift - Monday to Friday 7:00AM to 4:00PM

Using available CNC mills, manual mills, and lathes, the Machinist II will machine parts based on designs from blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals specifications, sample parts, or by receiving verbal instruction to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work, sequence of operation and setup requirements. Performs work activities based on work orders.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent,

Experience

  • 1 year of experience in machine shop experience or CAD or CNC or related field with manufacturing is required
  • Preferred experience apprenticeship program, or certification from technical school, and 2 years of experience

Responsibilities:

Machines dies using the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) 4-axis mills. This includes properly setting up the part or material in the fixtures and running the correct program
Designs and writes CNC programs to fabricate production equipment.

Prepares tooling shipments for delivery to production and other foreign facilities.

Prepares blanks to produce dies, wedges and distributor plates.

Maintains adequate supply of blanks for dies, wedges and distributor plates.

Machines new dies, wedges and distributor plates.

• Repair dies, wedges, and distributor plates as needed.

Inspect all re-coated wedges for coating quality

Maintains inventory of consumables and other supplies, such as end mills, drills, inserts, die cases, wedge cases, machines oils, coolants, etc

Maintains and services all machine tools and equipment in the tooling shop

Maintains logs and data regarding all tooling activities performed

Maintains shop cleanliness

May perform other reasonable, related business duties
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with assembly tools, test equipment, and calibration processes
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and quality control procedures
• Ability to operate precision measurement tools and testing equipment
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Physical requirements include standing, bending, lifting up to 35 lbs, and manual dexterity
• Ability to adapt schedule as needed to support production demands
