As a Machinist, you’ll perform setup and operation on a variety of machining equipment.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and operate machine tools (CMM, CNC Milling, Lathe, grinder, milling, drilling and specialised equipments)
  • Read operation sheet and perform to the expected requirements
  • Machine products to tight tolerance
  • Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure the correct use of approved tools, fixtures and correct machine program selection for repair work
  • Ensure thatoverhaul and repair activities are carried out in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data, and regulatory requirements
  • Performs general facility and equipment maintenance including 6s housekeeping
  • Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
  • Observing all applicable safety practices
  • Model behaviors consistent with good quality, health and safety, and environmental management practices.

Requirements:

  • GCE " N" or "O" Level / Nitec/ Higher Nitec / Diploma from a precision machining discipline, Aerospace Engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years manual machining experience
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistance
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to offer occasional overtime work

StandardAero is organized in two distinctive divisions, Engine Services and Component Repair Services. These two divisions represent the core strengths of StandardAero, our exhaustive engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services capabilities and our significant portfolio of component repair services for business aviation, commercial aviation, military, fixed wing, helicopter and industrial power customers.
