Trabaja a partir de planos, manuales de proceso y bocetos para realizar tareas de producción que pueden incluir el corte y moldeado de metal según las dimensiones de precisión. Puede comunicarse directamente con los ingenieros para comprender el propósito de un ensamblaje de piezas. Comprueba e inspecciona las operaciones de mecanizado de la maquinaria en comparación con las tolerancias especificadas. Puede identificar y reparar fallos menores en el funcionamiento de la maquinaria.
