What you’ll do

  • Machine Operation:Set up, program, and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines daily to manufacture precision-engineered components that meet engineering specifications and quality standards.

  • Technical Interpretation:Read and interpret technical drawings, job orders, and machining instructions to ensure accurate production processes.

  • Process Optimization:Set tool offsets, adjust cutting parameters, and maintain optimal machining conditions to maximize equipment efficiency and product quality.

  • Quality Assurance:Verify component accuracy using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Maintenance:Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous production flow.

  • Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:
ITI or Diploma in Turner, Machinist, or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience operating CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting parameters, and tool selection.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with CNC programming systems such as Fanuc or Siemens.

  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping on the shop floor.
