Machinist – Asphalt Equipment ManufacturerLocation: 12325 River Rd. North Branch, MN 55056
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Day Shift (Overtime as needed)We are seeking an experienced Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves machining precision metal components used in asphalt production and material-handling equipment. The ideal candidate has experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment and can read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, and work independently.Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drills, and other various fabrication equipment
  • Machine steel and alloy components to print specifications
  • Manufacture custom and replacement parts for asphalt plant equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and tolerances
  • Measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and tooling changes
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and adjustment as needed
  • Work closely with welders, fitters, and engineering staff
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from Leadership
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required (trade school preferred)
  • 3+ years of machinist experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
  • Experience machining carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
Preferred Experience
  • Manual machining experience
  • Large or heavy-part machining
  • Experience in heavy equipment, asphalt, or industrial manufacturing
Physical Requirements
  • Routinely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in an industrial shop environment
