The Machinist/Millwright Specialist is responsible for scheduled maintenance tasks, assisting in troubleshooting, assembling, fitting, installing, and repairing plant equipment, and documenting maintenance tasks and repairs on production lines and equipment within their shift
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Ensure overall maintenance of machines according to maintenance plan. Perform all preventative maintenance tasks as required.Document all equipment maintenance on appropriate forms.
Maintain reliability and functionality of all mechanical equipment and processes utilized in the facility
Repair and test equipment to specification.
Troubleshoot, and perform required tasks to maintain equipment in operational status. Follow technical diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications for troubleshooting malfunctions.
Comply with all quality control, manufacturing, and safety procedures associated with plant operations.
Check accuracy and quality of finished parts, tools, or sub-assemblies.
Read and interpret engineeringdrawings and specification.
Assist with operation of production equipment as required.
Actively support machine operator during line changeover.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Engineer systems to improve processes throughout the plant to alleviate issues
Simplify operations and maintenance on equipment
Uphold a high standard of work or projects preformed
Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Vocational educationa plus (Mechanical, Technical or similar)
3 years’ experience as a Mechanic, Maintenance Specialist, or high-level Machine Operatorrole in manufacturing/industrial environment
Problem solving skills
Proficient with use of precision measurement equipment and tolerances.
Ability to work independently or as a team
Ability to handle large scale projects.
Basic knowledge of welding, plumbing, and fabrication
Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, including fault analysis
Knowledge of occupational health and safety, fire-prevention, and environmental protection regulations
