As an Engineering Moderator – Machining & Toolmaking (T Level), you will support quality assurance and moderation activities for providers delivering this specialist pathway.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Moderating provider marking in line with national quality assurance guidelines
Conducting and documenting moderation, quality assurance, and advisory activity
Providing clear advice and guidance to providers on assessment and marking decisions
Producing detailed reports and feedback on assessment quality, evidence collection, and best practice
Identifying issues and supporting continuous improvement in assessment delivery
Taking part in training and standardisation activities to ensure consistency and high performance
You’ll be a confident occupational expert with strong technical credibility and a passion for maintaining high standards in education and assessment.
You’ll ideally bring:
Significant industry experience in Machining and/or Toolmaking
A background in engineering or manufacturing environments
Experience in assessment, moderation, verification, or technical training (highly desirable)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work independently and apply professional judgement
A commitment to fairness, consistency, and quality assurance
