Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. We manufacture hyper-pure polysilicon, high-quality solar wafers, and innovative photovoltaic modules, leveraging our leadership in advanced manufacturing to serve growing energy demand. You will be a part of advancing critical U.S. supply chains and delivering unmatched quality and reliability to customers.

Role Purpose

The machining team leader will serve as frontline leadership for the machining operations team. This role is responsible for directing daily activities, developing employees, and optimizing the use of people, equipment, and materials to meet production, quality, and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shift operations to achieve production goals.
  • Provide focus and direction to production employees.
  • Manage resources (people, materials, equipment) to optimize throughput and quality.
  • Balance production with validation runs, equipment upgrades, process improvements and maintenance activities.
  • Meet all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Build a culture of process discipline and change management.
  • Track and report production metrics.
  • Develop staffing and training plans for production operators.
  • Build effective relationships with operators and support groups.
  • Perform employee performance reviews. Administer feedback and recognition when appropriate.
  • Onboard and train production workforce, achieving maximum workforce flexibility.

Work Hours

  • Rotating 12‑hour shift schedule (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am) following a 2‑3‑2 pattern, alternating between day and night shifts every two weeks.
  • Flexibility required to support weekend or evening operational needs, including occasional coverage for shift supervisors on the 12‑hour rotation when necessary.

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • Leadership experience (work, school, community).

  • Ability to effectively coach, mentor, and lead subordinates, providing clear direction and establishing expectations.
  • Experience coordinating activities within functional responsibility and collaborating with support groups to achieve results.

The range for this position is $63,086.00 - $86,743.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
