Your Responsibilities
As a Machnining Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere ATI Products located in Rock Valley, IA, you will:
- Implement and monitor machining processes for new and existing parts including; develop CNC machining programs, optimize machining cycle times, quality planning activities, process monitoring, and product inspection.
- Development of process routings; procurement of tooling, fixtures, gaging, and as needed justification and procurement of machining equipment.
- Assist in team studies related to capacity, productivity, and efficiency.
- Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.

What Skill You Need
- 3 or more years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a component manufacturing environment related to the following processes: turning, milling, and drilling
- Experience with machine programming related to cast iron or steel processes
- Experience with leading projects in a manufacturing environment
- Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of the methods and process steps, as well as the plant, machinery, and equipment, required to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters
- Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions
- Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and the evaluation of the effectiveness of
those standards
- Carry out inspections under the supervision of senior colleagues to evaluate the quality of engineering works and/or the integrity of existing installations or structures, and make recommendations to senior colleagues on the remedial works needed to ensure conformance with specifications and regulatory requirements
- Deliver required outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers and acting as a primary point of contact for them while working within an established contract management plan

Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or technology related field preferred, or equivalent related work experience.
