Job Description

Job Title: Engineering Manager

Company: Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee Inc.

Department: Machining/Assembly

Location: Clinton, TN

The Machining Engineering Manager leads engineering initiatives within a die casting manufacturing environment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and innovation. This role requires expertise in project planning, process design, and process control, with a strong background in Japanese automotive manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel internationally for 1-2 weeks as needed to collaborate with global teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee the design and development of Machining and Assembly projects.

· Ability to develop annual and semi-annual action plans that correspond with the company initiatives.

· Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce defects and reduce carbon footprints.

· Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.

· Ensure compliance with industry, company standards, and safety regulations.

· Manage engineering projects, budgets, and timelines.

· Train and mentor engineering staff on best practices in machining/assembly.

· Work with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment.

· Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Submits proposals to management for consideration and allocation of funds from the department budget.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises members in the Production Engineering Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university, or seven (7) to ten (10) years related experience and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

· Strong knowledge of machining, assembly, and process optimization.

· Leadership experience in managing engineering teams.

· Proficiency in GD&T, CAD software and simulation tools.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

· Familiarity with IATF and ISO Standards

Travel Requirements

· Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.

· 1-2 weeks internationally
