Job Description

Join the Selux team as a Full-Time Machine Shop Operator and help build high-end architectural lighting products. This is a great opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment with execellent benefits.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am - 4:30 pm

Starting Pay: $18-$20 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of production equipment including sheet metal punching and forming machines, drilling, tapping, cutting, bending and sanding equipment.
  • Operate saws, milling machines and other machinery to cut and prepare metal parts according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Prefer machine shop experience and familiarity with manufacturing and power tools.
  • Automotive, construction and other manufacturing relevant experience welcome.
  • Metal fabrication a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

The Council of Industry has been the Hudson Valley's manufacturer’s association since 1910. We are a privately funded, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting our member firms.
