Machine Shop Manager

Location: Jacksonville, FL - Relocation Assistance could be available

Shift: 7am to 3:30pm (Mon-Fri); OT regularly available

Pay: $110-130k/yr (or more, depending on experience level)

Description:

• The Machine Shop Manager will be responsible for motor and turbine repair as well as supporting the staff of machinists.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with Machining (Lathes, Mills)
• Experienced in Motor and Turbine repaired (Required)
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine shop operating techniques, custom machining methods, and leadership

Job Duties:

• Troubleshooting and Repairing motor and turbines
• Ability to oversee shop operations; assign work to skilled subordinates
• Repair coordination, mentorship and training
• Instruction writing and job scoping
• Operates programmable and/or conventional machines & tools such as lathes, milling & glass bead machines, electric hacksaws, band saws, sanders, drill presses, grinders, Large machining equipment & welders.
