Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Machine Safety Engineer.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
Responsible for design, document and implement safety remediation needed in machinery to fulfil safety requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Promotes company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
• Perform hazard assessment to machinery.
• Provide engineering solutions and remediation to assure machines compliance to safety regulations.
• Work with suppliers to ensure accurate quotation of equipment. Output: accurate quotations from selected suppliers for price, delivery, and technical adequacy.
• Ensure equipment is fabricated to safety design specification. Output: test equipment built in accordance with safety design specification.
• Evaluate machine / equipment alternatives for safety compliance. Output: cost effective, capable machines.
• Participate and/or conduct hazard analysis to new machines / equipment to ensure process safety.
• Output: completed run-offs with process capability calculation or Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Provide technical assistance to project teams (ProLaunch) regarding safety design and how these requirements in design can influence test equipment design.
• Manage project work to meet project timelines and completion of ProLaunch deliverables. Output: deliverables that meet project schedule requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to manufacturing plants, as requested, to solve safety designs and related problems. Output: implemented corrective actions.
• Engineering degree or related fields required.
• 3–5 years experience in hazard and safety Analysis (environment preferably automotive).
• English language capability, speaking, reading & writing required.
• TÜV level 1 or 2 certification
• Software development engineering.
• Electrical and instrumentation fundamentals.
• Test Equipment design. #LI-MB2
• This position requires some travel.
• It requires the use of management skills; act as a liaison for associates at all levels.
