Job Description

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals and electronic recycling. We tailor recycling programs for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. Our Machine Operators are responsible for safely operating and monitoring recycling and material processing equipment to support daily production goals. This role includes running automated machinery, performing quality checks, completing production documentation, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and maintaining a clean and efficient work area. Operators work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure material quality, minimize downtime, and maintain safe operations throughout the recycling process.
Schedule
• Monday - Thursday, Weekends as needed.
• 7:00pm - 7:00am
Responsibilities
• Load, start up, and operate assigned production assets in accordance with the work order, control plan, and established operating procedures
• Ensure all finished materials meet customer specifications and quality requirements throughout the production run
• Accurately complete hourly production reporting, quality checks, downtime documentation, and all required production records
• Maintain inventory accuracy by properly managing and documenting all raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods assigned to the job
• Verify packaging meets quality standards and ensure all products are correctly identified, tagged, and labeled
• Maintain production rates and machine performance targets as defined by the control plan and production schedule
• Immediately report quality concerns, equipment issues, material discrepancies, or safety hazards to leadership
• Assist with material handling, machine changeovers, startups, shutdowns, and other production support activities as required
• Work collaboratively with operators, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

Qualifications
• Hilo experience required
• Accuracy in operation and attention to detail
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong computer skills with the ability to monitor machine systems
• Six months’ operating small equipment experience preferred (loader, forklift, scissor lift)
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge (conveyors, pulleys, etc)
