Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and engrave materials according to technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement for accurate cutting.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to the machine or process to meet required specifications.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on the laser machine, including cleaning and calibrating equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production quantities, and any issues encountered during operation.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to troubleshoot problems, implement process improvements, and achieve production targets.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in training programs and stay updated on new technologies and techniques in CNC laser machining.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of CNC machinery and laser cutting technology.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus but not required.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $20 - $26 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
