TITLE: Machine Operator I Trainee

SHIFT: Night Shift (7:00pm - 7:00am on a 2-2-3 rotation)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: $19.50/hour plus $1.00/hr. shift differential

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Machine Operator position is responsible for ensuring the continuing safe and efficient production process for the Morristown facility, including the set-up, validation and operation of automatic packaging equipment that produces wet wipes.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the production and packaging of finished goods.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and maintain production equipment to get maximum performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient production of a quality product in an FDA-regulated facility. Follow cGMP procedures.
  • Utilize JD Edwards, Factory Talk, Docushare, and DSI scan guns to safely produce quality products to customer specifications.
  • Daily responsibility for performing quality checks, sampling and accurately completing required documentation.

  • Associates have a direct and important role in ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of each associate’s essential accountabilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with computer usage within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail in daily work as well as extensive documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and motivation for continuous learning.

  • Ability to stand during12 hours shifts with regular breaks.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 37 pounds.
  • Repetitive arm/hand movement.
  • Frequent bending, twisting and reaching.

  • 100% of work will be performed indoors

The new plant will be operational beginning in 2019 and is expected to employ 250 people.
