Hours: Monday–Friday (Dayshift)

We’re looking for a Machine Operator / Machine Setter to join our friendly, fast‑paced production team on a Monday–Friday dayshift This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically minded who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to a long‑standing British food brand.

What You’ll Be Doing

Machine Setup & Calibration

  • Set up and calibrate production machinery in line with product specifications
  • Complete safe and efficient machine changeovers

Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Carry out regular machine checks to maintain performance
  • Respond quickly to minor mechanical issues to reduce downtime

Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor production output to ensure all products meet quality standards
  • Make real‑time adjustments to maintain consistency

Accurate Record‑Keeping

  • Record machine settings, changes and production data clearly
  • Support quality assurance through accurate documentation

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with fellow operators, setters and team leaders
  • Support a positive, smooth‑running production environment

Training & Safety

  • Assist with training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures
  • Follow all company health, safety and hygiene standards

What We’re Looking For

You’ll excel in this role if you have:

  • Experience as a Machine Setter, Machine Operator, Production Operative, or similar manufacturing role
  • Strong mechanical awareness and a hands‑on approach
  • Good attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Reliability and a positive attitude

Experience in food production is helpful but full training will be provided

Requirements

  • Previous experience in machine setting or a similar role within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of machinery operation, particularly in food production.

  • A keen eye for detail to ensure product quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborative spirit and great communication skills to work effectively with the team.
