Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Machine Operator for our Glass Fabrication Factory. Duties include the set-up, operation, and maintenance of machinery. Operators utilize machinery to complete custom projects per specified drawings, ensuring the scope of work is completed on time and on budget with a focus on excellent quality while maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Duties:

• Interpret fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and work manuals.
• Set up tools per specified programming and cutting requirements
• Adjust machine settings for tool compensations and material types.
• Check completed parts for quality of cut and critical dimensions.
• Identify concerns or problems with current design or manufacturing process.
• Perform daily, and weekly machine PMs.

Job Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working in a production area.
• Ability to set up and change tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines and budgets and provide quality workmanship.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Required physical strength:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Frequently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally.
• Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads in excess of 50lbs Occasionally.
• Must be able to work on your feet including, standing for the entire length of the shift, which are up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment, which includes frequently climbing ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching.
• Must be able to see / hear to visually and audibly acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, perform quality inspections, and equipment inspections.
• Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of the upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force.
• Must be able to push, and pull up to 100 pounds of force on a regular basis, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or other similar equipment.
