We currently have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Machine Operator located at our Manufacturing Facility in Jacksonville, IL.

Pay: $21.27/hour

Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Machine Operator you will provide frontline production support by safely inspecting, packaging, and preparing finished products to meet established quality and production standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring product quality, supporting continuous production flow, and adhering to safety and operational requirements. Works collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals while exercising sound judgment within established procedures and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Manufacturing Operations

  • Package finished products according to established production and customer specifications.
  • Inspect products and packaging materials to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Verify cartons are properly assembled, labeled, sealed, coded, and prepared for shipment.
  • Maintain continuous production flow by supplying, packing, and staging finished products.
  • Train on multiple machines within the assigned department to provide operational flexibility and support production continuity.
  • Palletize finished product accurately and safely to support efficient material handling and downstream production activities.

Quality

  • Perform routine product and packaging inspections to identify and remove nonconforming materials.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process and communicate quality concerns promptly.
  • Complete required production and quality documentation accurately.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas that support safe and efficient operations.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality deviations to appropriate personnel.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support efficient production by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Assist with machine adjustments and routine production support activities within established work instructions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production, quality, and safety objectives.

Requirements

Education/Experience Required

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred

  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Perform repetitive production tasks with consistent quality.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Maintain attention to detail while meeting production standards.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Flexibility to work assigned schedules, including overtime when required.
