We’re looking for 2 Machine Operators to join our sub-assembly lines, one in Coil Shop and another in Sheetmetal. Both positions are for the afternoon shift (3:15pm - 11:15pm)

Your Role:You'll report to the Sub-Assembly Line Foreman and your busy, hands-on tasks will include:

Coil Shop

  • Determine the size of coils and adjust tooling.
  • Select appropriate dies for pressing and expansion tasks.
  • Adjust tooling for bending tasks.
  • Load programs into the Logic Processor.
  • Select jobs from the job sheet.
  • Identify and cross-check drawings with fin spacing and fin length.
  • Measure the length and fin space of coils.
  • Make adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Change tooling to suit specific requirements.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, including circuits, headers, and hairpin end plates.

Sheetmetal

  • Setting up and monitoring machines according to guidelines
  • Making adjustments and recovering from breakdowns
  • Performing regular TPM as required
  • Selecting jobs and identifying drawings, cross-checking with programs
  • Forming work queues and loading raw materials using a forklift
  • Transporting finished products to the next operation using a forklift or hoist
  • Measuring dimensions, angles, and rotations, making adjustments as needed
  • Changing tooling and identifying correct drawings
  • Understanding and complying with safety and environmental policies
  • Reporting and resolving safety issues, and contributing to improved practices

Qualifications

You will have experience and skillsets in the following:

  • Experience with sheetmetal/coil machinery in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensions
  • Strong understanding of safe work practices
  • Good team player with reliable attendance
