Machine Operator Class B
Full-Time | Turret or Laser | Entry-Level
Location: American Products, Strafford MO
Pay: $18.50-19/hr + $2.00/hr Shift Differential
We are seeking a dependable, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Machine Operator Class B. This role focuses on operating either a Turret or Laser machine to produce high quality metal parts according to production specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in CNC machine operation and grow within the department.
Job Responsibilities
• Operate a Turret or Laser machine to cut, punch, or form metal parts according to blueprints and work orders
• Load and unload metal sheets or parts and ensure proper alignment
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, measurements, and quality standards
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication
• Follow all safety protocols and use required PPE
• Record production data, job times, material usage, and issues encountered
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, not required
• Basic understanding of machine operations or mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Willingness to learn, take on new tasks, and grow within the department
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculations
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
