Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator – 8 Hour Day Shift to join the Arnott's team at our Marleston site.

This role is ideal for someone with experience operating machinery in a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment who remains calm under pressure, takes pride in producing quality work, and enjoys solving problems. You'll be responsible for operating packing machinery and feeding product on the line, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent production outcomes.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Set up, perform changeovers, operate, and troubleshoot equipment in line with Arnott's Safety, Quality, and Performance Standards.
  • Maintain the efficient operation of packing machines and feeding stations.
  • Complete quality control checks throughout the shift.
  • Uphold GMP, HACCP, and hygiene standards, ensuring production areas remain clean and compliant.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve daily production targets.
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support, coach, and develop team members where required.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.

The Ingredients for Success

  • Previous machine operating experience within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting machinery and equipment.
  • Sound understanding of safety, quality, and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles is highly regarded.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow procedures, complete documentation, and effectively communicate with team members and leaders.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven reliability with a strong attendance and performance record.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • Full working rights in Australia are essential

Additional Requirements

  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Uniforms and required PPE will be provided.
  • Availability to work the Afternoon Shift on an ongoing basis.
