Job Description

Sets up and operates assigned Tape and Reel machinery.

Essential Functions

  • Assembles reels to run product.
  • Gathers appropriate set up tooling for machine.
  • Sets up machine to run required product.
  • Adjusts or resets machine settings as necessary.
  • Lifts bins of parts from skids to feed bowls and/or uses a scoop for full bins.
  • Conducts visual inspection of every bin, looking for bad plating, mixed parts or any other obvious visual errors.
  • Labels each reel appropriately
  • Packages and appropriately labels finished product boxes.
  • Correctly places product in finish goods warehouse.

Physical Requirements

  • The ability to stand throughout the entire shift.
  • The ability to lift up to 60 lbs. 20 to 25 times per hour.
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds from waist to shoulder height up to 25 times per hour.
  • Occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Good visual acuity for detailed work. Near vision must be 20/30.
  • Must be able to work in an un-air-conditioned and/or air-conditioned, well-ventilated work environment.

Education/Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Read and understand product prints, procedures and specifications.
