Sandvik Coromant in Westminster, SC is looking for a

MACHINE OPERATOR (MPL)

A Machine Operator performs and sets up various processes and machines with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Select materials and prioritize jobs using internal software systems or as directed by supervisors or written work instructions.
• Set up and operate equipment to produce standard or special inserts according to prints and standard operating procedures.
• Inspect parts for dimensions, quantity, and condition using specifications, blueprints, and quality standards, including microscope use when required.
• Maintain procedures for critical measurements and apply standard quality control methods to verify product and machine conformity.
• Perform tasks such as equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, material handling, and maintaining quality, SPC, production, and other required records.
• Perform ocular inspection when packing, labeling, marking, and assisting with box fabrication and other shipping‑related tasks.
• Take ownership of work output to ensure all customer requirements and expectations are met.
• Report irregularities or unusual conditions involving processes, materials, or equipment to designated personnel.
• Assist in training less experienced operators on equipment and related devices.
• Clean and organize equipment and work areas at the end of each shift, ensuring proper storage of tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Perform additional tasks assigned.

• Always support and promote a safe working environment.

Ensure all work follows:

• ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
• ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
• ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety)

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years’ experience working in a mechanical or industrial environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong Work Ethics.
• Understanding workflow impact.
• Strong commitment to quality and safety standards.

SHIFT:

3rd, 11:00PM to 7:15AM

PAY CLASSIFICATION:

• W1 ($16.00 - $25.80)
