Job Location: Springfield HQ - Springfield, TN 37172
Summary
Incumbent responsible for the operations of roll formers and/or beam mills, various presses and/or saws in a safe and efficient manner with minimal supervision
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to pass tape, print, mic, square and protractor tests
Ability to assist with mill operations and set up
Ability to thread steel in mill or splicing coils
Ability to operate mill producing parts to conformance
Production and mill activity accounting
Proper parts inspection and identification
Ability to perform general maintenance such as greasing and cleaning
Ability to be cross trained on other machinery
Ability to meet and exceed production standards
Must be able to weld coil ends
Must be able to read complicated prints
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Follows company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsAbility to work without close supervision
Must be able to read a tape measure and use a micrometer
Must understand decimals and fractions
Must be able to understand verbal and written orders
Must have manual dexterity skills
Must be able to lift 75 pounds with assistance
Must be able to work scheduled shift as well as overtime & weekends as required
Education and/or experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2 years’ experience in machine operation
