Job Description

MW Components in Merrill, WI is looking for 2nd Shift Machine Operators to join our team!

Set up, adjust and operate horizontal and inclined thread roller machines for new, special regular or experimental jobs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make minor repairs such as replacing studs, set screws and/or plate s Reports any other maintenance needs to
  • Maintenance. Responsible for the working condition of machines, pulleys, and motors.
  • Sees that all safety guards are in place and in good condition.
  • Assist other roll thread set up operators if necessary.
  • Train and instruct when needed.
  • Inspects work in progress using equipment necessary and outlined in Quality or work instructions.
  • Checks visually for poor threads.
  • Check blanks for mixed stock and for foreign products.
  • Responsible for quality of own work.
  • Maintains a clean machine and organized work area.
  • Lubricates machines when necessary.
  • Runs production on all thread rollers with little or no supervision.
  • Move material/parts with a fork truck or other mobile equipment
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Some computer literacy required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Certification in the metal trades industry
  • Blueprint reading capabilities desired or ability to learn.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds and seldom lifting to 50lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle and/or adjust equipment. Moderate reaching,
pushing, pulling, gripping and grasping. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to
safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed work boots or shoes.
