Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 1st Shift at our Pinckneyville, IL facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $17.32 per hour.

The Machine operator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through assembly, material handling, packaging, and equipment operation. This role works in a fast-paced production environment and ensures safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
In this function, you will:
• Operate riveting machines in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform basic assembly work following established work instructions and procedures.
• Package materials, finished products, and components according to specifications.
• Organize, stack, and palletize product for shipment or storage.
• Perform end-of-line duties to ensure product accuracy, quality, and readiness for distribution.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, prints, and work instructions.
• Operate a fork truck and perform material handling duties as required; ability to obtain and maintain fork truck certification.
• Support production flow by moving materials and products between workstations.
• Train and coach other employees on job tasks, safety practices, and work standards as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience training or coaching employees in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to perform job-related physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout the work shift.
• Ability to work in both seated and standing positions for prolonged periods of time, which may include portions of an 8–10 hour shift, depending on job tasks.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials of varying sizes, shapes, and weights, up to 50 pounds, as required by essential job functions.
• Ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate materials and tools on a frequent basis.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions, including frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms, to support assembly and production work.
• Ability to safely operate tools, machinery, and equipment requiring coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to move throughout the work area, including between workstations, equipment, and materials.
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a fork truck certification.
