Machine Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to identify root causes of problems. You will disassemble machines, repair or replace broken parts, and adjust functional components as needed. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:30pm to 10:30pm and a competitive hourly pay rate with shift differential. This opportunity is a strong way to demonstrate your mechanical skills and gain valuable experience in machine maintenance.

PAY RATE: $27/hr $1/hr shift differential

LOCATION: Lenexa, KS 66219

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause evaluation.
• Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.
• Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• Clean and lubricate parts, order replacement parts, and inspect completed repairs.
• Adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment to meet special needs.
• Serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA.
• Minimum of 2 years prior machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical understanding of complex machinery.
• Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 years prior machine maintenance experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills preferred.
• Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions, and engineering specifications preferred.
