To support the continuous development, evaluation, and improvement of our AI models and data pipelines, we are looking for a motivated Working Student or Intern (m/f/d) to join our CVIE (Computer Vision & Information Extraction) team. In this role, you’ll assist with research, experimentation, and data preparation tasks that contribute directly to improving our AI models and exploring new AI-driven product features.
You support model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation for document-understanding tasks
You perform exploratory data analysis and quality checks on annotated datasets
You implement or extend Python utilities for preprocessing, data conversion, and evaluation
You run experiments on our internal GPU infrastructure under supervision
You summarize experiment results and contribute to decision-making for the next iteration steps
You collaborate closely with ML engineers and the annotation lead to ensure data consistency and effective model feedback loops
You maintain internal documentation for reproducibility and compliance
You are currently studying for your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
You have successfully completed courses in Machine Learning or Neural Networks
You understand core ML concepts and model evaluation methods
You have good programming skills in Python and experience with Linux/Unix syst ems
You are familiar and have hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch
You have an understanding of (Vision)Large language models architecture and concept
You think analytically, pay attention to details, and are curious about new technologies
You communicate clearly in English (our working language)
You are reliable, trustworthy, and enjoy working in a team
Nice-to-Haves:
You have taken courses or gained experience in Computer Vision or Natural Language Processing
You have worked with tools like Hugging Face Transformers, vLLM, or ML experiment tracking tools (e.g., Kubeflow, MLflow, Weights & Biases)
You have experience with Computer Vision libraries such as OpenCV, PIL, NumPy, or Pandas
You understand data annotation workflows, OCR, or Document Understanding tasks
You have prior research, internship, or project experience in AI/ML
You are interested in optimizing model performance and evaluating data quality
