WHAT AWAITS YOU.

  • Explore and specify innovative AI-driven solutions, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Large Language Models.
  • Develop prototypes, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and new functionalities to demonstrate feasibility and value of AI applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to research, design, and evaluate novel AI solutions enhancing BMW's in-vehicle and mobility experience.
  • Contribute to securing fundamental Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) relevant to future BMW products and services.
  • Share insights and findings within the international research community to shape BMW’s global AI strategy and influence future research directions.
  • Scout emerging technologies and integrate advanced AI techniques into prototype systems and future system architectures.
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing valuable insights, enabling understanding of AI technologies, and influencing R&D and Centers of Competence (CoCs).

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electronics, computer science or related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI, Machine Learning and Application Development (e.g. Python, PyTorch / TensorFlow, LangChain, LangFlow, Kotlin or similar).
  • Confident in presenting and defending technical solutions to internal and external teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to abstract and break down complex problems in manageable portions.
  • Preferences:
    • Experience in building and running Cloud Applications (MLOps).
    • At least one year of relevant professional experience in the tech industry or a related field.

Relocation assistance is available for this position.

In support of BMW Group’s business objectives, this position requires regular onsite attendance at a BMW office/facility with remote work capability (hybrid).

The expected salary range for this position is $162,031.00 - $224,937.50.

The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.
