Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operate automatic or manual equipment to transfer mat rolls from winder torewinderalong conveyors to packaging and weighing stations.
Monitor windup, packaging, and baler equipment for proper operation.
Operate the stretch wrapperMaintain a supply of packaging materialsatthe proper area.
Operaterewinderas necessaryRewind non-confirming rolls to remove and correct defects.
Operate the baling equipment, changewireand clear jams as needed.
Observe the mat coming from the oven, visually checking for any physical defectIdentifythe defect perdepartmentinstructions and notify the machine chief and the shift supervisor.
Be responsible forsegregating finished material to proper area,i.e.packaging, rewind, scrap, etc., based on QC dataProperlyidentifyand label finished product as instructed.
Assistmechanics on belt changes, minor repairs, etc. as needed.
Assist the Machine Chief as directedAssistand relieve other mat machine attendants as needed or directed.
Perform and record quality checks onfinishedmat as instructed.
Be knowledgeable of all manufacturing specificationsrelativeto the product being produced.
Operate andmonitorproduct and testing, monitoring, and recording equipmentMonitor test equipment for proper operation and notifyshiftsupervisor of any improper operation.
Operate J.L.G. and lift truck as needed.
Maintain and adjust slitter blades as needed.
Perform clerical duties necessary tomaintainproper recordsrelativeto work performed, equipment operation, production, and QC data.
Safely and properly perform tasks for shutdown and start up for the mat machineAssistin downtime cleaning as instructed.
Assistin training inexperienced employees on the job.
Be responsible for keeping the equipment and work area clean and neat at all times. As instructed by your supervisor, clean hydrosieves,roto-shears, trenches, or other areas/equipment not in your immediate work area.
