Referral Coordinator with a Medical Assistant license is required for triaging patient referrals for Clinic, Open Access Procedures and Inpatient. A great opportunity for an MA wanting to expand their career and learn more about clinic workflow and patient triage. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Bilinugal a plus!

2 years of clinic experience required!

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. The MA Referral Coordinator will review incoming referrals and ensure the patient is scheduled with the appropriate provider and/or procedure.
2. Completes and verifies patient registration, insurance status and medical history for appropriate scheduling.
3. Oversees the patient registration process and ensures workflow and team interactions follow guidelines
4. Responsible for ensuring the front office operates smoothly by handling administrative tasks, coordinating activities, and maintaining a functional workspace.
5. Manage office supplies, schedule meetings, and assist with various administrative duties.
6. Train new team members on front office guidelines
7. Serves as a customer service professional and remains positive when dealing with stressful situations and multiple demands related to the operations of The Spine Center.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical terminology required

Experience:

• 2 years in medical setting strongly preferred.
• Strong clerical skills
• Exceptional customer service skills

SALARY RANGE

• ‎$22.08 to $32.47/hour
• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
