M&A & Integration Analyst – OCU Group (ANZ)
Location: Brisbane, QLD

As we continue to expand across Australia and New Zealand, we are seeking a highly motivated and commercially minded M&A Analyst to join the business based in Brisbane. Reporting directly to the International Growth Director, this role will support acquisition execution, post-completion integration, and the broader corporate development agenda across the OCU ANZ
business group.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on exposure across M&A execution, post-acquisition integration, and corporate strategy within a high-growth energy and infrastructure business.

Key Responsibilities

M&A and Investment Support

  • Support post-completion integration activities across acquired businesses, including tracking deliverables, coordinating workstream owners, and maintaining the integration plan.
  • Assist with synergy identification, and realisation reporting against business case.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration activities spanning Finance, HR, Commercial, HSES,
    IT, and Operations.
  • Support harmonisation of systems, governance, and reporting standards across acquired businesses.
  • Prepare integration progress updates for ANZ and Group leadership.
  • Maintain post-completion 100-day plans and longer-term value creation roadmaps.

M&A Execution and Integration Support

  • Assist with commercial, operational and financial due diligence processes.
  • Coordinate and support transaction execution activities through to completion.
  • Prepare target profiles, investment papers, board presentations and leadership
    reporting materials.
  • Liaise with Group M&A, Group Finance, external advisors, and senior stakeholders
    throughout transaction processes.
  • Support acquisition pipeline maintenance, including target tracking and opportunity assessment

Strategy and Market Analysis

  • Conduct research and analysis on energy, renewables, utilities, infrastructure, and
    adjacent sectors across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Support development of strategic growth initiatives, including market expansion and
    capability diversification.
  • Prepare concise strategy papers, reports, and insight presentations for leadership
    teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong analytical and commercial capability with an interest in M&A, strategy, and corporate development.
  • Experience in transaction execution, post-merger integration, strategy, financial analysis, or related advisory roles preferred.
  • Exposure to energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or related industries is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong research, planning, presentation, and report-writing skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion handling confidential information.
  • Accounting or finance qualifications (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are advantageous but not
    essential depending on experience.
