
M&A Business Development Associate
Hybrid (1 Day/Week in Office in Toronto)
Andromeda, a market group within Constellation Software, Inc., would like to build a new segment and is looking for an ambitious and experienced business development associate to build the new expansionary pipeline and convert opportunities into new acquisitions. As an Expansion Business Development Associate, you will do research on the industry and the potential targets, build new relationships with potential targets using multiple contact methods (e.g. phone calls, email marketing, LinkedIn and trade show attendance), and nurture relationships with existing targets over time.
This opportunity will tap into your research and analytical abilities as well as relationship building and business development skills as you help build our newest portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Development
Create target list to contact using Salesforce ensuring completed contacts with 100% of prospect list and retention of 100% of renewals
Achieve activities and meetings held quota to build pipeline.
Create contact management plan which includes 7-step process to create meaningful dialogues with each prospect on your target list.
Use multiple methods to make contact and schedule in depth meetings with target using emails, phone calls, LinkedIn, trade shows, in-person meetings, etc.), attaining a 30% connection rate.
Attend trade shows on behalf of Andromeda where you will complete as many meaningful dialogue conversations as possible.
Nurture and maintain relationships with existing leads by maintaining contact with targets throughout the year.
Facilitate the exchange of documents between Andromeda and the target for the first stage of M&A transaction activity.
Document all activities and call outcomes in Salesforce.com
Supporting Research and Analysis to Assist Business Development Activities
Prepare in-depth analysis of target company and c-suite, set objectives for call and prepare meaningful exchange of information in advance of each call.
Conduct online research to add new targets in the new expansion vertical market to your prospect list. Typical resources includes using LinkedIn, industry lists, website and other online research.
Build your own knowledge and expertise in expansion vertical so that you understand unique terms, key industry issues and gain an understanding of the market structure and software solutions sold to the expansion market
Continuously research new market/industry trends and use to provide value to the targets you meet.
Qualifications:
2+ years of prior c-suite sales experience (phone based mandatory and in person sales preferred).
Strong business maturity demonstrating confidence, gravitas, professionalism and mature interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid research skills including internet-based research and the ability to learn financial research tools.
Strong work ethic being ambitious, proactive, persistent, and goal oriented.
Demonstrated learning acumen and intellectual curiosity with the ability to quickly understand different business models/industries.
Time management prowess with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective administrative and organizational skills.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, financial research tools and Salesforce.com
Salary Range (Ontario & BC Only):
The estimated base salary range for this role is CAD$63,000.00 - CAD$77,000.00 per year.
