
This position has responsibility to coordinate and conduct the clinical and business training for employees working in the outpatient practices. Develops training plans and training materials as needed.
Education:
Completion of Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Program - Required
Experience:
5 years Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Ambulatory - Multi-specialty Setting - Preferred and
12 months Information Technology - Healthcare Technology - Preferred
Certifications/Licensures:
LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse - California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
Skills:
Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external customers (i.e. staff, peers, managers, medical staff, community groups, affiliated facilities)
Understands LVN scope of practice
Knowledge of medications, medical terminology, and standard medical equipment used in Primary care and Specialty care practices.
Demonstrates sound critical thinking and the ability to integrate clinical concepts into daily tasks and training
Knowledge and experience performing and/or assisting with common administrative and clinical responsibilities in Primary Care and Specialty Care practices within the LVN scope of practice.
Possesses sound clinical knowledge and applies it appropriately in the development of workflows, processes, and training content.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
Knowledge or experience in clinical/business operations
Knowledge of Medical terminology.
Able to communicate clearly using good written and verbal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
Health system electronic medical record experience preferred such as EPIC and MyChart.
