JOB SUMMARY

The Luxury Sales Manager is responsible for growing business in the luxury market segment through the Consortia and Group segments. This individual will continue to further penetrate existing accounts as well as procure new business for their assigned hotel. The Luxury Sales Manager is also responsible for meeting their assigned monthly sales goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • College degree or High School Diploma with related experience

Experience

  • Minimum of 3+ years of past hotel sales experience preferred
  • Experience in a similar size and quality hotel preferred

Skills and Knowledge

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including leading and participating in formal presentations
  • Advanced level of producing luxury business sales through directly soliciting business
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience with the luxury consortia travel companies
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with amadeus Agency 360 and Demand 360 business intelligence products and STR reports
  • Strong desire to deliver high quality customer service
  • Detail oriented and organized as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency

Job Duties

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding individual revenue goals in the luxury market segment(s) for the hotel
  • Conduct weekly sales calls to existing and new accounts, as well as uncover new business in assigned market segment(s)
  • Conduct site inspections, actively entertain, and interact with customers
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls and attend tradeshows representing hotels required
  • Generate leads and new business through internet searches, telephone and email solicitations, mailings, referrals, networking, trade shows, professional and community organizations, sales, blitzes, etc.
  • Maintain relationship with brand’s national sales office
  • Responsible for negotiating volume account contracts and implementation and set up as required
  • Analyze historical, current and future hotel/market trends and develop strategies to maximize occupancy and average rate of assigned hotels through creative and selective selling
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly property reviews
  • Completion of weekly/monthly sales activity goals provided by each property
  • Audit and edit all luxury consortia platforms in partnership with the marketing team to keep content accurate and up to date.
  • Manage all FAM and educational stay requests from luxury consortia partners.
  • Respond to all consortia and Group RFPs
  • Run daily Reservations Booked reports to mark and classify VIP’s according to Hyatt standards.
  • Run daily Arrival reports to identify special requests, amenities, potential upgrades, early check-in or late check-out requests and distribute to the front office team.
  • Adjust work schedule as needed to meet the business demands, which may include hours in early morning, evening and/or weekend hours
  • Other duties as assigned
