About the Client

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing company, known for producing high-quality baked goods in a fast-paced production environment. The organization focuses on efficiency, safety, and product integrity, supporting daily operations through strong warehouse and distribution processes.

The Lumper supports daily freezer warehouse operations within a fast-paced industrial bakery environment. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, moving, and organizing frozen bakery products while maintaining safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy throughout the shift.

This is a hands-on position working in a freezer environment and requires candidates who are comfortable performing physical warehouse duties in cold temperatures for extended periods. The position follows a 3rd-shift schedule ( Overnight / 11:00 pm – 7:30 am) and may require availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, lumper, or distribution operations preferred.
• Experience operating manual and/or electric pallet jacks preferred.
• Comfortable working in a freezer environment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move 50–75 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Availability to work 3rd shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Steel-toed boots required on day one.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work for extended periods in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 32°F
• Frequent lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in cold storage and fast-paced warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload inbound shipments: Handle frozen bakery products arriving from trailers and delivery vehicles.
• Load outbound freight: Prepare pallets and shipments for daily distribution operations.
• Operate pallet jacks: Move products safely throughout freezer and warehouse areas.
• Organize inventory: Stack, sort, and store frozen goods within designated storage locations.
• Support inventory accuracy: Verify product counts and assist with inventory checks as needed.
• Maintain safety standards: Follow GMP, OSHA, and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain work areas: Keep freezer and warehouse areas clean and organized.
• Report operational issues: Notify supervisors of product damage, discrepancies, or safety concerns.
• Collaborate with teams: Work closely with warehouse, shipping, and production staff to support daily operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
