Responsibilities

• 
  Load and unload shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA.
• 
  Operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately track inventory movements during shipping and receiving processes.
• 
  Assist with order picking using
  pickers and ensure correct items are loaded or unloaded based on shipping documents.
  
• 
  Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery.
• 
  Safely load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods on pallets or containers for optimal space utilization.
• 
  Maintain a clean, organized work environment by properly stacking pallets and materials handling equipment.
• 
  Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate shipping schedules, prioritize tasks, and optimize workflow efficiency.

Experience

• 
  Proven experience in warehouse distribution or logistics operations, including order picking, shipping & receiving, or materials handling.
• 
  Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, or other industrial machinery.
• 
  Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
• 
  Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, pallet jacks, and load/unload procedures.
• 
  Prior experience in construction or similar environments is a plus for mechanical aptitude.
• 
  Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts.
•
