Prairie Co-op is hiring a Permanent Full Time Lumber Sales Representative at our Home Centre located in Melville or Fort Qu’Appelle, SK.

What you’ll do:

The Lumber Sales Representative effectively communicates and promotes the value of local Co-op goods and services to current and potential customers in support of organizational sales and financial objectives. This includes:

  • Being responsible for a customer base within an assigned market area by executing sales programs to meet and/or exceed budgeted sales and margins.
  • Works closely with the sales support teams to ensure commitments are met in a timely manner.
  • Develops new client relationships and business, by targeting customers with whom the local Co-op can profitably do business and elevating the local Co-ops’ presence in the industry.
  • Carries out all administrative, technical and reporting aspects of sales activities, including preparing and administering sales contracts; maintaining customer records; and ensuring accuracy of sales data.
  • Provides input to product and service offerings based on customer feedback and interactions and remains up to date on current market trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • You have 3-6 years of relevant experience. Commodity-specific sales experience is preferred.
