Lumber Handler

1st shift - 6 to 2:30 pm - some overtime

$17.63/hr

Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer in the industry serving furniture, cabinet, and molding and millwork segments worldwide.

We have an immediate opening seeking a full time Lumber Handler.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Handling, sorting, and stacking rough cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade
  • Ensure lumber is placed accurately and neatly into the appropriate cart
  • Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean
  • Participate in job rotations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Work at a fast pace and be detail oriented team player
  • Cross train in other production related jobs
  • An all-around positive work attitude, at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
  • Must have and maintain excellent attendance record.
  • Pre-employment physical and drug-screen required.
  • Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
  • Always required to wear personal protective equipment.

Education

  • High school or GED equivalent or 18 years of age

Over the years, the company has steadily grown and expanded to become the largest manufacturer and global supplier of hardwood lumber, producing 14+ species of domestic hardwood. As a result, the volume of hardwoods has more than doubled since 1950.
