Pay Rate: $15–$22/hour based on experience

Pay Type: Hourly

Pay Schedule: Biweekly

About Lakeshore Tire & Auto Service

Lakeshore Tire & Auto Service is seeking a Lube & Tire Technician / Apprentice in Charlevoix, MI, offering $15–$22/hour based on experience. This Monday–Friday position is designed for someone who wants to build real automotive skills and grow toward a full Automotive Technician career. You’ll receive hands-on training and mentorship while developing experience beyond basic oil changes and tire services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance services
• Mount, balance, repair, and rotate tires
• Perform TPMS service
• Replace batteries, filters, wiper blades, and other maintenance items
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections
• Inspect brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle systems
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Work alongside experienced technicians while developing automotive skills

Qualifications

• Lube Technician, Tire Technician, or Automotive Apprentice experience is a plus but not required
• Automotive trade school students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable and punctual
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• ASE Certifications are a plus or willingness to earn them
