More ways to build a career that moves you forward. Shawnee Mission Kia is seeking a skilled and motivated Main Line Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic and repair abilities, a commitment to quality workmanship, and a dedication to delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Main Line Technician, you will perform vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with Kia and dealership standards

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, fluid services, and multi-point inspections.
  • Conduct brake, battery, belt, hose, and basic suspension repairs.
  • Inspect vehicles and identify maintenance needs or potential concerns.
  • Accurately document vehicle inspections and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain efficiency and productivity standards established by dealership management.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to Kia and dealership quality standards.
  • Assist Main Line and Master Technicians as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Properly use and care for dealership tools, equipment, and shop facilities.
  • Participate in manufacturer and dealership training programs.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive maintenance or technician experience preferred.
  • Automotive trade school education is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
  • Ability to operate shop equipment and diagnostic tools safely.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
