Position: LTS Literacy Teacher (Posting number 2627-3927)

Location: Plank Road North Elementary School

Start Date: November 2, 2026 - December 16, 2026

Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a Birth-grade 6 Literacy Teacher or K-12 Permanent Reading

• NYS 1-6 Students with Disabilities certification
• Exemplify the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills
• Candidates must have knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning

Responsibilities:

• Provides comprehensive support to elementary students
• Integrates literacy skills and strategies within the English program, ensuring that all students are able to access text and communicate understanding through writing
• Maintains accurate and timely student records available for teacher, student or parent reference
• Demonstrates a deep and rich knowledge of subject area and the ability to convey it to the students

Salary: As per current Webster Teacher Association (WTA) Contract based on experience and education.
