Job Description

[What the role is]

GIS AI ENGINEER

[What you will be working on]

The trainee will join our software engineering team as a Frontend Developer, contributing to the development of user-facing interfaces for a Geographic Information System (GIS) Agent. The primary responsibility will be to assist in building and refining frontend components for an AI Agent that helps perform geospatial actions, analyses and visualisations on a map. The programme will also involve implementing Agentic AI Solutions, where the trainee will help integrate AI-driven features into the frontend experience. This includes working with APIs powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), designing intuitive user interactions for AI agents. Candidates with prior experience or interest in AI, LLMs and GIS will benefit from hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies and collaborative problem-solving.

[What we are looking for]

  • Frontend Development: Using modern Web Frameworks like React, HTML, CSS and Javascript
    AI & LLM Awareness
  • Exposure or interest in Artificial Intelligence, particularly Large Language Models and its Implementation techniques
  • Geographic Information Systems Knowledge: Good to have, experience in map related workflows and software
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to evaluate design and implementation decisions logically
  • Learning Mindset: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools and workflows
