[What the role is]
We are seeking a strategic and design-oriented incumbent to lead the development of integrated Place Plans for existing MRT stations and their surrounding precincts.
[What you will be working on]
This role will shape stations as more than transport infrastructure — transforming them into vibrant community nodes that support social interaction, local identity, economic activity, and high-quality public life.
The incumbent will guide the spatial planning, urban integration, connectivity, and placemaking of station environments, ensuring stations are seamlessly connected with surrounding neighbourhoods, public spaces, amenities, and community uses. A key focus of the role is planning for walkability, cycling connectivity, and active mobility to encourage healthier and more sustainable lifestyles.
The role requires strong interdisciplinary collaboration across transport planning, urban design, landscape architecture, development, mobility planning, and stakeholder engagement. It involves extensive engagement and building partnership with multiple LTA departments, Government agencies, as well as the community and stakeholders around the MRT stations.
[What we are looking for]
Knowledge in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Transport Planning, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in urban design/planning, placemaking, active mobility, or transit-oriented development.
Experience in leading multi-stakeholder planning projects.
Experience in planning and carrying out public and stakeholder engagement.
Experience in engaging Government agencies to seek support on place plans (or equivalent).
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Ability to think strategically while translating vision into practical and implementable outcomes.
As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment.
