Primary Duties:Process specimens for laboratory analysisPerform molecular and bacteriological based assaysWork with dangerous pathogens within the biosafety level 3 laboratoryAssist with test validationsPerform quality control and participate in corrective actionsPerform instrument maintenanceCommunicate with Epidemiologists, law enforcement, hospitals, and other local partnersProvide outreach presentations to partnersPerform testing in the Tuberculosis, Serology and Virology laboratories
Qualifications:MUST meet CLIA high complexity testing personnel qualifications (click HERE to review the standard qualifications)Previous experience working in a clinical or research labPrevious experience with Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)Good communication skillsPass a criminal background check Ideal Candidate:Meets CLIA high complexity testing personnel qualifications (click HERE to review the standard qualifications)Previous experience in performing bacteriological assaysPrevious experience in performing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)Basic knowledge of Molecular BiologyBasic knowledge of Medical MicrobiologyComfortable providing scientific outreach/presentations to partners
