Core Purpose of the Role
• SER Administrative & Operational Support
• Assist with Community Engagement and Stakeholder Relations

• Support SER leadership and Managers to focus on strategic tasks
• Support Internal and External Communications
1. Administrative Support
• Maintain communication files, records, and databases
• Assist with printing, filing, and distribution of communication materials
• Perform other communication-related duties assigned by supervisors
2. Community Engagement and Stakeholder Relations
• Support and maintain effective relationships with host communities and key stakeholders.
• Assist with regular community consultations, meetings, and awareness sessions.
• Assist in facilitating dialogue between the company and community leaders, youth groups, women’s groups, and local authorities.
• Support implementation of stakeholder engagement plans and community development initiatives.
• Provide accurate information to communities regarding AML activities, policies, and projects.
• Support with preparing community sensitization materials and presentations.
3. Grievance Management and Conflict Resolution
• Receive, document, and follow up on community complaints and grievances.
• Support timely resolution of disputes and conflicts involving communities and the company.
• Maintain grievance records and tracking systems.
• Promote peaceful communication and conflict mitigation strategies.
4. Internal Communication
• Assist in preparing internal newsletters, Memos, and notices.
• Support employee communication campaigns and awareness activities.
• Help update intranet content, and communication materials
• Assist in documenting company meetings, workshops, and training sessions
5. External Communication
• Support the development of press releases, brochures, flyers, and social media content.
• Assist in maintaining the company website and digital communication platforms.
• Help coordinate media visits, interviews, and public communication events.
• Participate in corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication activities.
Key Performance Indicators
• Quarterly report on assigned responsibilities prepared
• Stakeholder engagement records and databases established and maintained

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Knowledge
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in the social sciences and other discipline obtained within 1 – 3 years from the date of application
• Must be a Liberian citizen and 30 years or below during the time of application as demonstrated by your officially issued National ID card or passport.
• Should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of graduation
• A verifiable transcript and proof of graduation (presentation of degree)

Working Conditions
• Based at SER Department Monrovia, Yekepa or Buchanan office
• Standard office environment with frequent interaction in operational areas.
• Requires flexibility to work extended hours during peak project periods.
• Exposure to mining site conditions; adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
• Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding sensitive department information and materials
Health and Safety
1.1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
1.2. Participate in health, safety and environment training programs to understand potential hazards, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
1.3. Report any health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents, or near misses promptly to the designated supervisor or safety officer.
1.4. Assist in identifying workplace hazards and participate in risk assessments to minimize risks to personal health and safety.
1.5. Wear appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks or environments and ensure that it is maintained and used correctly.
1.6. Be familiar with emergency response procedures, including evacuation routes, assembly points, and first aid protocols.
1.7. Follow established safe work practices and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
1.8. Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely, following manufacturer's instructions and the AML safety guidelines.
1.9. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to reduce hazards and prevent accidents.
1.9.1. Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among coworkers by encouraging safe behaviors and reporting unsafe conditions.
1.9.2. Participate in health and safety committees or meetings as required, providing input and suggestions for improving workplace safety.
1.9.3. Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities as required by company policy and regulations.
Environment
1.1. Oversee and monitor the environmental performance of your department's functions, ensuring high levels of awareness and compliance with company environmental policies and relevant environmental laws.
1.2. Regularly review environmental performance metrics and indicators to track progress, identify trends, and address areas for improvement.
1.3. Ensure all environmental incidents are reported promptly and investigated thoroughly in line with company policies and legal requirements.
1.4. Uphold a culture of environmental responsibility and compliance within the organization by setting clear expectations for incident reporting and response at all levels.
1.5. Collaborate with the Environment team to identify opportunities for environmental improvement and develop strategic programs to enhance sustainability practices.
