Job Description

  1. Integrated Planning & Strategy
    1. Lead the development and execution of integrated business planning (IBP) processes.
    2. Align operational, financial, and strategic plans across departments.
    3. Drive long-term planning cycles including budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-mine/business planning
    4. Ensure consistency between financial plans and operational targets.
    5. Provide strategic insights to support executive decision-making.
  2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    1. Oversee preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
    2. Analyze financial performance and identify variances against plans.
    3. Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.
    4. Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial planning data and assumptions.
    5. Support capital allocation and investment decision processes.
  3. Performance Management
    1. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across business units.
    2. Track business performance against plans and targets.
    3. Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial and operational performance.
    4. Lead performance review processes with senior management.
    5. Drive accountability for performance across departments.
  4. Cross-Functional Coordination
    1. Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and HR teams.
    2. Ensure alignment of departmental plans into one integrated business plan.
    3. Facilitate planning workshops and coordination meetings.
    4. Resolve planning conflicts and ensure alignment with corporate strategy.
  5. Data Analytics & Reporting
    1. Lead the development of dashboards and management reports.
    2. Provide analytical insights to support operational and financial improvements.
    3. Utilize data analytics tools to enhance forecasting accuracy.
    4. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to executive leadership.
  6. Continuous Improvement & Systems
    1. Improve planning processes, tools, and systems.
    2. Implement best practices in integrated planning and financial modeling.
    3. Drive digital transformation initiatives related to planning and reporting.
    4. Enhance data quality and governance frameworks.
  7. Governance & Compliance
    1. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements.
    2. Maintain robust internal controls within planning and reporting processes.
    3. Support internal and external audit requirements.
    4. Ensure proper documentation of planning assumptions and methodologies.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement
    1. Act as a key advisor to the CFO and senior leadership team.
    2. Present financial and planning insights to executives and stakeholders.
    3. Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.
    4. Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

    1. Ensure all planning activities consider HSE risks and compliance requirements

    1. Oversee enterprise-wide budgeting processes.

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Knowledge

  1. Qualifications
    1. Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
    2. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA) preferred
  2. Experience
  3. Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in financial planning, strategy, or business planning
    1. Experience in mining, heavy industry, or large-scale operations preferred
    2. Proven experience in leading integrated planning or FP&A functions
    3. Experience working at senior leadership/executive level
  4. Technical Knowledge
    1. Financial modeling and forecasting methodologies.
    2. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) frameworks.
    3. ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial systems.
    4. Data analytics and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel advanced, etc.).
