Duties and Responsibilities / KPI’s
1. Cost Analysis & Control
1.1. Analyze, monitor, and control all costs related to operations within the ArcelorMittal Port of Liberia.
1.2. Track daily, weekly, and monthly cost performance against approved budgets.
1.3. Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and potential savings opportunities.
1.4. Track and manage all cost-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and escalation where necessary.
2. Budget Monitoring & Management Reporting
2.1. Compare actual expenditures against budgeted figures and analyze variances.
2.2. Make clear, data-driven recommendations to Management regarding the department’s financial position versus budget.
2.3. Highlights budget anomalies, risks, and concerns immediately to Management and the Head of Department.
2.4. Prepare and support the development of the department’s yearly budget, including forecasts, assumptions, and justifications.
3. Financial Reporting
3.1. Prepare accurate and timely monthly Financial Status Reports, including charts, graphs, and trend analyses.
3.2. Ensure reports clearly communicate financial performance, key variances, and corrective actions.
3.3. Maintain consistency and accuracy in all financial reporting formats and timelines.
4. Fuel, Cost & Provision Reporting
4.1. Ensure preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
• Fuel usage and consumption
• Fuel cost analysis
• Cost reports
• Provisions and related expenses
5. Documentation & Record Management
5.1. File, organize, and maintain both soft and hard copies of all shipment and cost-related documents.
5.2. Ensure proper documentation control in line with company policies and audit requirements.
5.3. Maintain accurate and retrievable financial records for internal and external audits.
6. Procurement, Logistics & Compliance Support
6.1. Prepare and submit proforma invoices at least four (4) days before vessel arrival to the Government of Liberia (GOL) through the designated agent.
6.2. Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and external regulatory requirements related to shipping and invoicing.
7. Systems & Financial Transactions
7.1. Create and manage Service Entry Sheets (SES) in the relevant financial or ERP system.
7.2. Ensure SES entries are accurate, timely, and properly supported by approved documentation.

Health and Safety
1.1. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and procedures.
1.2. Participate in health, safety and environment training programs to understand potential hazards, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
1.3. Report any health, safety and environmental concerns, incidents, or near misses promptly to the designated supervisor or safety officer.
1.4. Assist in identifying workplace hazards and participate in risk assessments to minimize risks to personal health and safety.
1.5. Wear appropriate PPE as required for specific tasks or environments and ensure that it is maintained and used correctly.
1.6. Be familiar with emergency response procedures, including evacuation routes, assembly points, and first aid protocols.
1.7. Follow established safe work practices and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, or illnesses.
1.8. Operate machinery, tools, and equipment safely, following manufacturer's instructions and the AML safety guidelines.
1.9. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to reduce hazards and prevent accidents.
1.9.1. Promote a culture of health and safety awareness among coworkers by encouraging safe behaviors and reporting unsafe conditions.
1.9.2. Participate in health and safety committees or meetings as required, providing input and suggestions for improving workplace safety.
1.9.3. Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities as required by company policy and regulations.
Environment
1.1. Oversee and monitor the environmental performance of your department's functions, ensuring high levels of awareness and compliance with company environmental policies and relevant environmental laws.
1.2. Regularly review environmental performance metrics and indicators to track progress, identify trends, and address areas for improvement.
1.3. Ensure all environmental incidents are reported promptly and investigated thoroughly in line with company policies and legal requirements.
1.4. Uphold a culture of environmental responsibility and compliance within the organization by setting clear expectations for incident reporting and response at all levels.
